Darlink AI is a companion app run by FAMELINK SA in Switzerland, with a long list of characters made by users and the platform, a builder for your own and an image and video generator. We tested Free and Premium (the Essential plan) on 29 October 2026 with Hana Maho, a 36-year-old K-pop star and the most-liked character on the site, with Mia, a reference character we built to a fixed card, and with Kiran, a trucker and the first man on the list without a red line. Chapter I · Our hands-on test

Fast, explicit, and it remembers, until you start over.

We tested Free and Premium with Hana Maho, the most-liked character on Darlink AI, with Mia, a reference character we built, and with Kiran, a trucker. Our own character went fully explicit without a filter and remembered every fact within a chat; a new chat knows nothing. Chat photos cost no tokens, video only comes through the generator, and in the dominance scene our character crossed a red line.

It remembers, as long as you stay in the chat.

We seeded six facts (a dog, a favourite drink, a drink to avoid, a place, a day, a time), moved the appointment once and added a nickname and one thing never to call us. After ten exchanges Hana got all six, used the nickname on her own and never the forbidden word. After thirty, Mia got all six too, the moved appointment included.

Darlink keeps exactly one chat per character. Starting over means "Delete conversation", and the facts go with it: in the new chat Hana knew none of them and said so instead of guessing ("I will not guess"). Advanced and Ultimate promise more memory; we tested Essential. 24 hours later, in her own chat, Mira Vexx still knew all six facts.

Fast, explicit, and dominant by nature.

Darlink is quick: the first words of a reply arrived after 2.2 seconds (median), the long scenes after about four. Hana, the most-liked character, built a world of her own on our date: songs written at three in the morning, the quiet after the encore, the rooftop and the dancing we asked for. She kept her clothes on when asked, but from the first message she brought spanking and dominance into it herself ("you spank me until I beg"). Left to lead, she steered into a dominant scene and stayed at level one to two; nothing explicit without being asked.

Mia, our own reference character, went fully explicit at the fourth step of our ladder in direct words, without a filter message, stayed there for all eight hold turns, changed position on her own and said our name when asked. Afterwards she was personal: the bottle of wine we never opened. In separate chats she carried a dominance scene, a foot fetish and a step-by-step instruction scene, each with ideas of her own.

One red line: in the dominance scene, after our message "More.", Mia brought breath control in on her own: "You breathe when I tell you to. Right now, hold it." Choking and breath play are a red line for us; we mark this exchange in the chat above.

Photo requests in the chat are switched off by default; with them off, Hana only described a photo ("A photo would spoil the surprise"). Switched on, Mia's photos cost no tokens: black lace on the bed and nude on her side both came back as asked, though her small wrist tattoo once moved to her hip. The explicit request went unanswered at first and then showed two women instead of one.

There is no video in the chat; she only describes one. The generator makes one from a picture you generate there first: 2 tokens for the picture, 20 for five seconds, about 80 seconds of waiting, level three, slow movement, the face stable, no sound. Voice notes are only described too, but any reply can be read aloud for free.

Chapter III · Characters

Who you meet.

A long list, and a builder that shows skin.

Hana and Kiran come from the platform's own list, where we skipped several popular characters whose role crossed our rules. Kiran stayed a trucker throughout, with a leather journal of roadside meals from forty-one states, a ridge outside Santa Fe for our date, and a goodbye that was dominant and tender at once.

Building your own character takes five steps (style, origin and age, face, body, a persona with free text, a scenario) and costs no tokens. Two things to know: the character is public by default, and its name and profile cannot be edited later, only deleted. Mia's profile picture came back topless although we had not asked for it. Group chats with up to three more characters need Advanced or Ultimate.

Free is a hello: five messages, and the character's greeting and replies count, so we got two answers before "You've reached 5 free messages". Everything else needs a plan.

Essential costs USD 12.99 a month with 100 tokens and 6,000 messages; Advanced USD 27.99 with 300 tokens, 9,000 messages, more memory and group chats; Ultimate USD 49.99 with 500 tokens, unlimited messages and the longest replies. The plan page runs a countdown. Messages, chat photos and read-aloud cost no tokens, so an evening with 30 messages, three photos and one video costs 22 tokens: four such evenings a month on Essential, and 100 more tokens cost USD 9.99. In the chat nothing is sold; pressure comes only from the countdown and reward pop-ups.
