This space is full of hype, fake "reviews," and copy-paste affiliate lists. We're not here for that.
What goes into the score
Tested tools: the score is calculated, not assigned. By default 60% hands-on test (memory, chat, roleplay, images, video and voice weighted equally; features such as character creation, group chat or a feed count for 10% of it), 20% price and free tier (cheapest monthly plan, price per image, free allowance), up to 20% community stars (20% · n / (n + 50) from 10 ratings on). Every criterion is rated 0–5; 5 is the best we measured. Whatever a tool does not offer or we have not tested drops out instead of counting as 0. Editors may correct the result by at most ±0.3, only with a reason and evidence. Each tool page shows the exact arithmetic. Explicitness is described as a profile, not graded. Best-of lists rank by exactly the criterion they are about.
Tools we have not tested yet: we show our editors’ first take from 1 to 5, grey and labelled as such. It is not a test result and always lists after the tested tools. We do not rate our own products.
With at least 10 star ratings, community input can adjust the verdict: weight = min(n / (n + 50), 50%). Each source contributes at most 500 ratings to the community average. The adjustment is capped at ±0.3 points, or ±0.6 with at least 500 ratings and two sources with 50 or more each. Without an editorial rating, only the community average is shown.
Reddit and YouTube sentiment does not change the star rating. Displayed scores are rounded to one decimal.

How We Create Our Reviews
Cyberliebe reviews are based on hands-on testing — not just press releases or tool descriptions. When we review an AI app, we use it like a real user would:
- Creating an account
- Testing free features (if available)
- Exploring paywalls and premium options
- Checking what happens after you actually pay
- Comparing it against competitors in the same category
We want to answer the question most users really care about: Does it work — and is it worth it?
What We Evaluate (Our Criteria)
Every app is reviewed using consistent criteria, so you can compare tools fairly.
1) Output Quality & Realism
We test how good the results look and feel in real use, including:
- Realism (where relevant)
- How "natural" the conversations feel
- Whether images/videos look convincing or AI-ish
- Whether results match what the app promises
2) Consistency
Some tools look amazing once… and terrible the next five times. We test:
- Whether quality stays stable over multiple sessions
- Whether the app handles variations (different prompts, styles, scenarios)
- Memory/character consistency (for chatbot-style apps)
3) Control & Customization
We evaluate how much freedom you actually get:
- How strict the filters are
- How much prompt control exists (if any)
- Available styles, personalization, "roleplay depth"
- Limits on explicit content (where applicable)
4) Pricing, Paywalls & "True Cost"
This is one of the biggest issues in the niche: hidden paywalls. We break down:
- Subscription costs
- Tokens/credits and real-world usage cost
- Upsells and locked features
- Refund policies (if available)
- Whether the tool is good value for money
5) Privacy & Safety Basics
We're not a legal authority — but we do look for red flags. We check:
- If the site feels legitimate
- Basic privacy policy/terms visibility
- Obvious scam signals or suspicious billing behavior
6) Who It's For (And Who Should Avoid It)
We always include recommendations based on user type, because there is no "best for everyone." We highlight:
- Best fit users
- Dealbreakers
- Alternatives with a better match

- Confirmed factual errors are corrected within 7 days; pricing and availability issues we aim to fix faster.
- Substantive corrections update the page — we do not silently rewrite conclusions or ratings.
